Meet the Team

Tugdual Iquel was born in La Rochelle and raised in Bordeaux, with a real passion for Asia that he focused on throughout university. He first arrived in Wuhan back in 2003 and has been dedicated to the continent ever since, only leaving for a short stint in the US to finish his studies. Before joining BB&R, Tugdual spent eight years working for a top Bordeaux negociant, gaining plenty of experience in the wine world.

Now based in Hong Kong, he splits his time between Hong Kong, Japan, where he spends about a third of the year, and regular trips to Singapore. A big fan of Rhône wines and Champagne, he loves sharing great bottles with friends. Outside of work, he’s a football fan and a big supporter of the French national team, often getting some good-natured banter from his British colleagues during the Euros and World Cups.

Based in the region since 2019, having moved to Singapore to join Berry Bros. & Rudd as an Account Manager, and now based in Hong Kong as of 2025, taking on the role of Head of Private Client, Asia. With a background in economics and finance prior to joining the wine trade, I bring analytical precision to the world of fine wine—an expert in reviewing asset trends and identifying key areas of opportunity.

My favourite regions for wine are Burgundy & Champagne—with a particular passion for grower Champagne and Burgundy’s new generation of producers. Weekends are all about football—both watching Arsenal (my first love, even before wine) and playing semi-professionally, while my cat “Cat” keeps things grounded at home with his quiet culinary demands.

After 10 years in wine auctions, Finn relocated to Hong Kong to join Berry Bros. & Rudd, where he now advises collectors and wine lovers across Asia, helping them build exceptional cellars.  Finn stumbled into fine wine after interning for the Silver Department of an internationally renowned auction house. The Wine Department two floors up were having immeasurably more fun, and a swift career pivot ensued. He especially loves exploring grower champagne, white burgundy, Riesling, and drinking LPM Tomatinis.

Originally from Shanghai, Yiwen's interest in wine first developed during her time in London and Vancouver, where she came to see wine as a lens through which to understand culture, history, and people. She holds degrees in Finance and Management from UBC and UCL and went on to work in asset management in Shanghai, where she built a strong foundation in client relationship management. Her growing passion for wine led her to pursue the WSET Level 3 qualification, and she joined Berry Bros. & Rudd in Hong Kong in September 2026.

Yiwen is particularly drawn to wines with a strong sense of place and personality. Grower Champagne and white Burgundy are among her favourites, though she enjoys exploring a wide range of regions and styles. She believes wine is best experienced as part of a broader lifestyle, whether shared over a meal, collected with purpose, or discovered through travel and conversation.

Outside of work, Yiwen enjoys cooking, discovering new restaurants, and practising pilates and yoga. Her favourite spots in Hong Kong include neighbourhood Japanese restaurants and relaxed wine bars, where good food and great conversation come naturally.

Phebe’s background is in marketing and public relations, where she has over eight years of experience in the field. Originally from Hong Kong, she graduated with an economics major from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, before moving back to her hometown in 2011 to work for one of the leading wine distributors in Greater China. This is where her passion for wine developed and she completed the WSET Advanced level certificate.

In 2013, she joined Berry Bros. & Rudd, where she leads and manages events for wine producers, trade and private customers while overseeing communications and marketing campaigns for the brand. She now provides marketing support to the company’s Japan and Singapore offices and continues to improve her wine knowledge through tastings and working with experts.

Remy joined Berry Bros. & Rudd in Singapore in May 2021 and has been Head of the Singapore office since February 2026. He is fascinated by wines which have rich histories and were enjoyed by famous figures in previous centuries (such as Haut-Brion and Yquem to name just two!). Remy's favourite wines include the historic Classified Growths of Bordeaux, the newer, emerging Grower Champagnes and the great sweet wines of the world, particularly from Sauternes, Alsace and Germany.

Darren joined Berry Bros. & Rudd as an Account Manager in May 2024. His love for white Burgundy started with a bottle of Coche-Dury Bourgogne Blanc on a Friday afternoon. Prior to joining BBR, he was part of the sales team in a French wine and spirits group. Besides wines, he is passionate about spirits and maintains a small collection of Scotch whiskies that you can find him sipping on during the weekends.

Outside of work, Darren is an avid runner who spends his evenings on long runs to keep fit. He loves animals and is particularly fond of cats, with ginger cats having a special place in his heart.
